The Second Act. A show for inspiration, encouragement, and motivation.The show takes on a fun and friendly format designed to affirm and celebrate women no matter what stage they are in. The Second Act allows for interactivity through the use of B’s online blog, and makes it possible for the viewers at home to be able to chime in an share their questions and stars.
Each Second Act show will fall within a half hour period. In addition, The Second Act will allow viewers to actively participate in round-table discussions hosted by B. Adams at various locations throughout the community and beyond. This program is designed to be a resource for women are dealing with, living in, and preparing for an celebrating their “second act.” B. Adams gives them the resources and skills they need to manage the transitions and reinventions in this phase of their lives.
Why watch The Second Act? Sometimes women need the support of one another, as well as a little push, in order to embark upon a new journey into the unknown. These are women preparing for their second act in life. They need to know that there are others out there who share their story and that positivity can be a definitive outcome. They also need to view their goals as attainable, which will be facilitated through our interviews with women who are currently moving in the same direction. The Second Act is designed to inspire the everyday woman, this forum will help empower the women in out community to gravitate toward the path of success while in their “second act” of life.
B. Adams is a successful image consultant, style expert, communications coach and professional speaker. She is also a local television personality in Hampton Roads, VA on Channel 13, WVEC TV; an ABC affiliate. She has worked in the media and communications field for nearly 30 years. B. has taught at various universities and colleges. She

Micah “Bamm-Bam” White is a nationally recognized comedian who has been in the entertainment business for 17 years. His journey has taken him through highs and lows, from opening for the Chippendales to appearing in movies like Unstoppable with Denzel Washington, on the TV series Army Wives and headlining on the Tom Joyner Cruise and at FunnyBone Comedy theaters across the country. Micah is also passionate about education and is a motivational speaker having both corporate and academic clients.
The time has come to turn another corner professionally. His fan base is in agreement and he is launching a new initiative, The Micah White Show. This show was created to begin a movement that will challenge stereotypes and break through superficial walls to find common ground. It will deal with viewpoints on popular topics drawn from everyday headlines. It is our intent to educate and inspire using comedy as a bridge to understanding. We believe this television show will open the minds of viewers and establish respect for all.
The first episode is focused on building a bridge to common ground between the NAACP and the Sons of Confederate organizations. This is not intended to instigate a riot, although it is intended to attract viewers. Micah will facilitate a lively, educational and professional panel discussion. We hope to stimulate thought and inspire conversation that will increase tolerance, respect and acceptance in a fun way.
Cynergy Media Group attended the Peach Tree Village International Film Festival during the weekend of August 16, 2012 in Atlanta. Some of the events attended included a panel that focused on Film Finance and Distribution. This entailed an elaboration on learning the key components to get a project funded and maximize profit on distribution methods and strategies.
Another informative panel showed filmmakers how to get a project Green Lit. This panel was led by Curtis Wallace (Producer of Jumping The Broom), Shelby Jones (Producer from Flavor Unit), and Robyn Greene Arrington (Sr Director of TV One). The panel focused on the proper techniques on pitching a project, packaging your project and having longevity in the television and film industry.

One winner will receive $10,000 and the opportunity to participate in the pilot production with A&E. As part of the 25 semifinalists we will be invited to participate in the 8th annual New York Television Festival as Official Artists.
Jen the Body Painter is about a single mom who has build one of the most unique and titillating businesses in Baltimore. Jen Seidel uses the sexiest bodies in Charm City as the canvas to her body-painting. She works with an eccentric cast of characters – models, marketing execs, radio ad TV personalities, athletes, artists, etc creating living paintings on gorgeous bodies in the name of art, advertising and fund raising.
This month, Cynergy Media Group will be attending the National Association of Broadcasting(NAB) in Las Vegas. NAB advocates new and upcoming information that related to the broadcast industry. The CIAA celebrated its 100th year of existence this past weekend! The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association consists of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and holds athletic conferences for a variety of sports every year. The CIAA’s primary focus is encouraging students to strive athletic and academic excellence. They host many tournaments during the year highlighting all college sports however, its flagship event is the annual basketball tournament.
CIAA’s 100th year Anniversary hosted thousands of enthusiastic attendees and recognizable personalities in Charlotte. Even our First Lady Michelle Obama got in on the festivities to promote her Let’s Move! campaign that encourages children to eat healthy and exercise on a daily basis to prevent or eliminate childhood obesity.
Along with the basketball tournament, the CIAA held several additional events that included the CIAA Adult Skate Party, the CIAA Power 98 & Club 935 Greek Day Party that was hosted by BETs Terrance J, and a step show.
Throughout the full month of February, Tidewater Community College focused on bringing influential and successful African Americans to interact with the local community, the final event featured Nationally recognized motivational speaker Iyanla Vanzant! TCC is made up of four campuses within the Hampton Roads area. The events were held throughout the month allowing TCC to present a variety of free performances, workshops, lectures and entertaining events encouraging the community to attend. Featured events included pannel discussions, a fashion show and a step show. It was a valuable opportunity for all to experience the excellence of TCC!
TCC’s Literary Cafe’s brought in successful authors to speak sharing their experiences and explained to students key factors that helped them become established in their careers. The Hip Hop panel focused how the genre of music was and is viewed by society (the panel included local favorite, DJ E Shorty). To celebrate the confidence of black women, a fashion show featuring fashion forward business attire from Dillard’s NYGARD collection was presented.
Though all the events at TCC paid tribute to Black History Month, the theme that tied all of the activities together was “Black Women in American Culture and History”. The most anticipated speaker of the series was Iyanla Vanzant. Iyanla is a well-known author, television personality, and motivational speaker and will speak Wednesday February 29th at the Roper Theater in Norfolk.
